Sr. Installation Engineer

Want to build, test, and install a variety of hardware including motors, pneumatics, lighting, audio, video, special effects, etc...? At Hageneering, we specialize in helping our clients design and build custom machines from the ground up.

As Sr. Installation Engineer at Hageneering, you will design, build, and test custom machines for the entertainment, automotive, and aerospace industries.

  • You will work with mechanical and controls engineers to make our equipment designs easier to build

  • You will manage the fabrication, assembly, and testing of custom machines

  • You will manage the crating, shipping, and unpacking

  • You will manage install and test custom machines in project sites around the world

 

We are looking for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving problems and building machines.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize work and maintain an installation schedule (we use smartsheets)

  • Keep our clients and engineers in Torrance updated with installation status and issues

  • Be an elite troubleshooter, over many disciplines - mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc...

  • Adapt to fast-changing site conditions and issues

  • Document testing and engineering changes

  • Make improvements to our fabrication capabilities at our Torrance shop

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Ability to use a CAD viewer and understand schematics and engineering drawings.

  • Ability to climb equipment and use a variety of tools to install or replace a variety of components

  • Good eyesight and hearing to help inspect equipment

  • Hands-on fabrication and wiring experience

  • Understanding of safe work practices including forklifts, cranes, machine shop equipment, high voltage electrical, high pressure plumbing, etc...

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work on-site in Torrance, CA, as well as occasionally travel around the world for installation support.
